Fashion-Encyclopedia No.1

Hey guys,

Easter has arrived in our home. Everywhere bunnies, eggs and a potpourri of everything that gives us joie de vivre – something we all need after the long winter with its grayish pabulum…

And Easter also means: tradition – at least in my home…every year the same food, the same decoration, the same dishes….and: the same style of clothes –> which leads me to this “special edition” and new category on my blog…..every year at Easter I wear one of my dirndl !

Do you actually know what that is? It is a traditional Bavarian garb for ladies – and the gents wear special leather trousers…

well – back to the dirndl: I kinda love them – they are not at all high fashion – you won’t see anything like this in London, Paris, Milano or New York – but it is so feminin and every woman looks just her best in it – no matter what her figure is like…do you know anything else like this?

Now: check it out….and google for more… πŸ™‚

Happy Easter my beloved fashion-victims =D

Ronko

kind of I came across this really interesting new young designer. At the time only designed tops are in his shop, but I am definitley looking forward to seeing more from Lennart Wronkowitz and his label Ronko.
Well – surely he will not have completed his training yet and the designs are probably not yet as professional as seen at big labels, but he is very up-and-coming and I am really trying to get one of his SS10-pieces at the time – a shirt I really love πŸ™‚
check it out…

and also check out his hp: Ronko

what I personally like is that he seems to not follow any rules – there is no pressure behind his designing – of course you can see certain patterns in his style, but it is young and fresh and you can see that he designs, because he actually likes designing – not because of anyone waiting for his new collection, not for his certain target group, although the latter is rather young and rock n’ roll with a whiff of gaga, manga, comic and romance…please Lennart – do me the fav and stay that authentic. That way you will rock the fashion heaven sooner or later πŸ™‚

ok guys – going online-shopping now – need, need, need a cocktail dress and hope to find it on net-a-porter – see you soon on my fashion-blog – xxx

Fashion faux pas No. 3

ok – have thought about no. 3 quite a while and the decision was quite tough – but here it is – fashion faux pas No. 3….tata
today it is all ’bout CROCS – and it was really hard for me to even write this word – not to mention saying it or even torture my feet by wearing them…

ok – no – I’ll retract that – they are great – for some afternoon-gardening – and for your dog to play with…no garden? no dog? throw out your crocs – your shoe cabinet will love you and will be very thankful…

one or another of you might say now: but… – I could say: there is no “but” – but I’ll listen..

so: you might say: they are great, they are comfortable (a no-go-word, btw), and you can put cute little tags into the holes…

and I say….still, there is no “but”, because this “but” does not count – as I said before (also cf. fashion faux pas No.1): comfortable is not an argument…and the little tags? Well, if you like little figures and stuff to make your look unique: get your own Thomas-Sabo-bracelet… πŸ™‚

so: still any counter-arguments out there? No? That’s how I like it πŸ˜‰

so guys – see you hopefully sooner again than this time – and be tense for the next episode of “Fashion faux pas”

P.S.: If you have any suggestions for this series, please comment them – maybe it will already be online next

Posh Spice finally becoming really posh…

Well – usually we know her as too thin with loads of aesthetic surgery and in too small size minus zero – all combined with her very inimitable bitchy way of “I-try-to-smile-but-you-all-make-me-so-sick”.

Lately I saw a new Victoria in the media. All started of with her TV-training for her job as judge on pop idol – well her little intermezzo in looking for the new wannabe-singer was – as we all know- Β not very successful but the TV-training seems to have changed something in Posh’s attitude towards all the bad bad people out there filming and interviewing her (which by the way also made her famous – just a fact popping up in my mind ;-))

And with finding her so-long-lost smile again and getting her implants taken out of her berast she catapulted herself and her fashion line into heaven of fashion. And I have to say: Her fashion has got it – the special thing – I love her outfits. They are great for the Fashonista-Business-Lady and she is one of the very few designers from whom I love actually every piece…Thumbs up for Posh-Spice :-)))))))))

p.s.: check it out!

Vicky’s dresses

guys – somewhen in the next days (latest friday) the new fashion faux pas will be online – wait for it with great anticipation…xxx

Fakes

Hey guys – it’s me again – ready to go to bed – but wondering one thing – and I want your opinion – because I do not really have one yet…

the topic? FAKE BRANDS

Is it okay to walk around f.e. with a fake Prada bag which is a really good fake and to tell everyone that it is in fact a real one – saying “You haven’t seen this one before? Oh – probably because it is vintage” or “You might have Β missed it…”?

I have to admit – there are great fakes in the world – you can’t see the difference – or only if you look inside a bag – what you never do – looking into a Lady’s handbag is a no-go – isn’t it?

Well back to the no-go or go-go fake brands: It is all about appearance and reality – but what is the crucial point? That you know your handbag is a real D&G, Prada or Dior or that the others believe that it is a real one?

Is there actually a right answer or is it just about self-esteem? Do you need a real designer bag to feel good or do you just not care because you are just fabolous?

Think about guys and write your comments – I am looking forward to

xxx and hugs, the real Pradadevil πŸ˜‰

Gray – the new blond?

It’s me again – the second time today – but it is something I really had to think about in the last days – the new trend: silver-gray.
No – not clothes – our hair!

When the hell did gray started to be the new blond? Since all times women dyed their hair – you could state that the Germanic people started off the whole dyeing hair thing. Red for fighting and reportedly blond out of fashion reasons . Oh guys – this topic (I mean fashion) is so old and kind of original – is it not?
Well anyway – gray – it is Haute Couture. Dior, Chanel, Armani – they dress in gray, they dye gray – and not only on catwalk…little cute blogger Tavi was seen recently in partnerlook with great K.L. – at least talking about the hair colour – and Kate Moss dressed up as her grandma – well at least her hair was gray and unkempt – although the latter is not really a great news…

No secret that I am not a Kate-fan – but I have to admit, I kind of like the silver catwalk look – it is very French, it is ladylike, it is elegant – or to say it with Mocean Worker: it is Tres Tres Chic.

And girls: from now on – be happy about your first gray one – and save your money from the hair dresser for something better (shoes I suggest ;-)) – it does not only save your money – it is also more healthy – and the first gray hair seems to be the new ticket into the world of high fashion.

Hurray – just found a gray hair – xx and baba – looking forward to our next literary exchange πŸ˜‰

Fashion faux pas No. 2

It’s me – I’m back – this time with TAPERED TROUSERS – anyone who loves them? – better don’t go on reading – I am not going to mince matters…

So tapered trousers – by the way: I’m German and in German tapered trousers are called “carrot-trousers”. Do you think carrots are in any way sexy or handsome? No? Well and it is the same with the equipollent trousers – they are not sexy and not – in absolutely no way – handsome – and they are also not in anyway suitable for anyone!

Skinny jeans – yes – if your legs are in shape of course… but tapered trousers? Even Gisele looks kind of unshaped – clunky – in them and that is a very good sign for us mere mortals to better keep away from tapered trousers! (Or should I say “carrots”? ;-))

That was No. 2 in the series so far and I better get into the kitchen and have tea now – and you guys stay tense until next week…

p.s.:

I know: this week I was less detailed and probably also a bit less elaborate – but school is catching my attention – A-levels in May – wish me luck! It’s me – and I know better πŸ™‚

Fashion faux pas No. 1

Yes – I probably set up this blog out of great boredom – and to duck out of learning biology for my A-levels in May. However I still hope to do one good thing…which is bringing more fashionability in the world – which is not really worldshaking but never wrong I guess. At least people should look good when they mess up πŸ˜‰

I will take this blog as opportunity to finally sum up all the fashion sins I see daily everywhere and which really make me want to crying…

First thing which seems to be everywhere and does not seem to vanish from the world anything like soon are UGG BOOTS.

Who the hell ever thought this was good looking and anything near to suitable? Let me start with the name: Ugg – probably standing for ugly – which leads to the conclusion that the whole ugg-boot-fashion-thing was just a huge joke and somewhere someone is sitting in front of his computer and dies laughing – the only logical explanation for this thing.

Ok – it might be tolerable if someone wheres his uggs in the evening in his flat, sitting in front of his TV – ALONE…Everything else should be just forbidden. Uggs shorten legs and make our beautiful feet look like clubfeet – and I guess noone wants to have clubfeet on purpose and I personabley would not give away only one cm of my leg-length – would you?

And ladies out there in the big big world: “Comfortable” is not an excuse!

Next week: Fashion faux pas No. 2 – be curious until then
