Fashion faux pas No. 3

ok – have thought about no. 3 quite a while and the decision was quite tough – but here it is – fashion faux pas No. 3….tata
today it is all ’bout CROCS – and it was really hard for me to even write this word – not to mention saying it or even torture my feet by wearing them…

ok – no – I’ll retract that – they are great – for some afternoon-gardening – and for your dog to play with…no garden? no dog? throw out your crocs – your shoe cabinet will love you and will be very thankful…

one or another of you might say now: but… – I could say: there is no “but” – but I’ll listen..

so: you might say: they are great, they are comfortable (a no-go-word, btw), and you can put cute little tags into the holes…

and I say….still, there is no “but”, because this “but” does not count – as I said before (also cf. fashion faux pas No.1): comfortable is not an argument…and the little tags? Well, if you like little figures and stuff to make your look unique: get your own Thomas-Sabo-bracelet… 🙂

so: still any counter-arguments out there? No? That’s how I like it 😉

so guys – see you hopefully sooner again than this time – and be tense for the next episode of “Fashion faux pas”

P.S.: If you have any suggestions for this series, please comment them – maybe it will already be online next

Fashion faux pas No. 2

It’s me – I’m back – this time with TAPERED TROUSERS – anyone who loves them? – better don’t go on reading – I am not going to mince matters…

So tapered trousers – by the way: I’m German and in German tapered trousers are called “carrot-trousers”. Do you think carrots are in any way sexy or handsome? No? Well and it is the same with the equipollent trousers – they are not sexy and not – in absolutely no way – handsome – and they are also not in anyway suitable for anyone!

Skinny jeans – yes – if your legs are in shape of course… but tapered trousers? Even Gisele looks kind of unshaped – clunky – in them and that is a very good sign for us mere mortals to better keep away from tapered trousers! (Or should I say “carrots”? ;-))

That was No. 2 in the series so far and I better get into the kitchen and have tea now – and you guys stay tense until next week…

p.s.:

I know: this week I was less detailed and probably also a bit less elaborate – but school is catching my attention – A-levels in May – wish me luck! It’s me – and I know better 🙂

Fashion faux pas No. 1

Yes – I probably set up this blog out of great boredom – and to duck out of learning biology for my A-levels in May. However I still hope to do one good thing…which is bringing more fashionability in the world – which is not really worldshaking but never wrong I guess. At least people should look good when they mess up 😉

I will take this blog as opportunity to finally sum up all the fashion sins I see daily everywhere and which really make me want to crying…

First thing which seems to be everywhere and does not seem to vanish from the world anything like soon are UGG BOOTS.

Who the hell ever thought this was good looking and anything near to suitable? Let me start with the name: Ugg – probably standing for ugly – which leads to the conclusion that the whole ugg-boot-fashion-thing was just a huge joke and somewhere someone is sitting in front of his computer and dies laughing – the only logical explanation for this thing.

Ok – it might be tolerable if someone wheres his uggs in the evening in his flat, sitting in front of his TV – ALONE…Everything else should be just forbidden. Uggs shorten legs and make our beautiful feet look like clubfeet – and I guess noone wants to have clubfeet on purpose and I personabley would not give away only one cm of my leg-length – would you?

And ladies out there in the big big world: “Comfortable” is not an excuse!

Next week: Fashion faux pas No. 2 – be curious until then

xxx, pradateufelchen – the devil going through your closets 😉
